HOW GOOGLE TREATS DASH SEPARATORS
The dash separator is a connector that separates sections of text, frequently to distinguish chunks that resemble sentences. Alternatively, it is similar to an em dash.Even though there may not be much of a difference between the two, Google treats them very differently.
Fortunately for us as SEOs, Google treats dash separators the same as it does other word separators. This means that even if you use dashes to separate your text into sentences or paragraphs, Google will still rank your site for the keywords and categories associated with those sentences and paragraphs.
1. Don't use a dash anywhere else in your content if you're using one to separate sentences or paragraphs.
2. Omit the underscore separator if you want to use dashes for search engine optimization. Users are more likely to choose a search result when both words are used together without any punctuation than when a dash or underscore is used.
3. If you want to break up the content of your website into paragraphs because it is longer than one sentence, People will find it simpler to read and skim through your website as a result.
4. If a sentence contains a list of items that needs to be set apart from the rest of the text,

DOES SEPARATORS EFFECT CTA?
The click-through rate appears to be impacted by the dash separator. Additionally, it appears that the underscore separator affects click-through rate. The hyphen also doesn't appear to have any impact on your click-through rate.
Users are more likely to choose a search result when it contains a dash or an underscore than if you simply used both words in the same sentence without any punctuation.
Anyone who wants to improve the search rankings of their website can consider this a major victory. Punctuation in titles makes it easier for Google to understand what you're trying to say.
WHAT ABOUT UNDERSCORE SEPARATORS?
1. A hyphen and an underscore are not treated the same way.
2. Word spaces and underscores are not treated equally.
3. It is nonetheless treated the same as a colon or dash when two non-hyphenated words are separated by it.
The dash is not treated like the underscore or colon, only the space between words. The hyphen is not treated the same way as underscores or spaces between words.
SEPERATORS SEEMS TO HAVE AN EFFECT
Google appears to use the dash separator rather than the underscore for search results.
Implementing a dash separator between your keywords is probably a good idea if you want your website to rank higher in Google.
It's unclear why this is. It's possible that the underscore or dash makes it simpler for users to mentally distinguish between the two words, increasing their likelihood to click on the result. Or perhaps it's merely a coincidence. So, if you're curious as to why I even brought up this separator, allow me to explain: You can divide words or phrases in your website's code using underscores.
Similar to how dashes and hyphens are handled, underscores are also handled in the same manner. It's also crucial to remember that Google favors websites with dash separators over those without them. This is the reason "www" should always be used in the URL scheme of your website.
